CAVELL NURSES’ TRUST

My biography of Edith Cavell led to my being invited to be patron of heritage for the Cavell Nurses Trust. This charity helps nurses who hit on hard times because of illness or impoverished retirement. One of Edith Cavell's ambitions was for such provision for nurses. The Trust hopes to raise £3 million by 2015, the centenary of Edith Cavell's death by a firing squad in Belgium.
